The central topic of MOSA Conference 2018 was: ‘It’s a small world’
The chosen topic enables us to discuss human health and disease on different levels, ranging from the cellular level to a global perspective. For instance, the spread of infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance as well as the increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases will be approached from different viewpoints. Additionally, the role of microorganisms concerning human health and disease will be discussed. Further examples for interesting aspects of this field are accessibility of health care or health problems associated with nutrition. Additionally, we are open to all other subjects matching into the conference slogan.
This topic will be of great value for students as well as researchers from different disciplines since it replenishes the regular curriculum with important new perspectives. Furthermore, awareness and knowledge concerning potential global health threats is crucial for all health professionals. We are looking forward to interesting lectures, stimulating workshops and inspiring discussions.
